    About Jack

Jack Turner is a PGA Professional who began his coaching career in 2017 and holds a background in User Experience Design. He believes golf instruction should begin with the individual, not with a standardized model of what the swing is supposed to look like. Jack’s early philosophy was shaped by industry leaders Mike Adams and David Leadbetter, whose work reinforced that every golfer’s swing is influenced by their unique anatomy, mobility, perception, tendencies, and intentions. He has since applied this individualized approach while coaching players ranging from complete beginners to touring professionals. Jack’s perspective expanded further while coaching alongside Richard Franklin, a leading authority in junior golf development, educator, and game designer. Through Co-Directing DiscoverGolf with Franklin, Jack learned to approach coaching as the design of a learning environment. Grounded in ecological dynamics, constraints-led skill acquisition, and principles of intrinsic motivation, this method uses purposeful challenges, variability, and feedback to help players discover functional movement solutions for themselves. Traditional instruction often asks golfers to reproduce positions in controlled settings. Jack’s approach develops the perception, adaptability, and decision making required to perform in a game that is never played under identical conditions. Instead of making players dependent on continual correction, he teaches them to understand cause and effect, solve problems, and take ownership of their development. Jack’s goal is simple: give every player the tools to coach themselves and help them find lasting enjoyment in one of the world’s most difficult games.
